How we can help you

Our team of qualified security professionals can provide assistance directly to you or through brokered business partners to provide the advice and assurance you need. Some of the services we provide include:

  • Advice and assurance of all information and digital security matters for your current and future initiatives. This might include: policy advice, contract reviews, defining security requirements, reviewing third party vendors and/or digital technologies, or providing high level assurance reports;
  • Advice on confidential investigations where safe custody of IT equipment or information for evidentiary purposes must be achieved; and
  • Security assurance of current and future technology capabilities within Curtin.

Reporting an IT security incident

Digital & Technology Solutions takes IT security incidents seriously. IT security incidents may take many forms. These may include:

  • suspicious activity occurring with your IT device;
  • an unexpected loss or modification of data;
  • access of data by people who should not have access;
  • unexpected account login attempts; or
  • finding you are locked out of an IT system or account.

If you notice any of these activities, it is important to contact the Digital & Technology Solutions' Service Centre immediately. Where possible note as much detail as possible about the security incident including:

  • When did you first notice the incident occur?
  • Is the incident still occurring?
  • Is anyone else affected?
  • Are you able to continue work with another IT device or backup of data?

To report a security incident use the form on the self service portal. If the matter is of a confidential nature, please request to speak with an IT Security team member.
